Class/Race Data from the WoW Classic Public Test

aug 19 horde pvp census

Chips provided a recap of the /r/classicwow census responses, but what did people actually roll on the stress test realms?

We ran a census addon during the majority of the public test, and have results for all factions on the PvP and PvE realms!

While the WoW Classic Census website has been down for weeks, we were still able to collect some valuable data.

When you filtered to show level 15s you typically saw:

  • hunters increased by an average of 5%
    • meaning if they had 8% of total representation 1-14, they increased to 13% representation at level 15
  • druids increased by an average of 2%
  • rogues decreased by an average of 4%
  • warlocks decreased by an average of 3%
  • all other classes had nearly the same representation at all levels

Alliance Class/Race Stats

Barov – PvE Realm

  • the levels for Alliance – Barov were similar to Alliance – Stallag but did not display correctly when I took the data

Of note:

  • there was a lot of experimentation: if people played a good amount they leveled their chosen main class to 15, and then leveled a class they hadn’t given much though
  • many casual players did not level their chosen class – most likely to avoid the 1-15 grind they will experience in a few weeks.
  • it looks like people were willing to deal with no pet 1-10 and hunters were a very popular level 15 class
  • lots of people couldn’t deal with the pain of rogue leveling
  • paladins vs. shamans is going to be epic
